Windows
Leave the windows open at night and keep them closed during the day.
Fan
Use the fan to move air. Do not point the fan at yourself while you sleep, better to hold it upwards or downwards.
Water
Drink plenty of water during the day and a glass before going to bed to keep your body hydrated.
Hot shower
Take a hot shower before going to bed: hot water (as opposed to cold water) will increase blood flow to the skin and increase heat loss from the body, making you feel cooler.
Ice pack
Put an ice pack on your wrists, neck, elbows, groin, ankles and even behind your knees. It will help you feel cooler.
Darkness
Light bulbs emit heat and can disturb your sleep. Switch off all lights and keep your room cooler.
Sheets
Put the sheets in the freezer for a few minutes before sleeping to enjoy temporary relief.
