In over half a century of history, the fast food restaurant McDonald's has sold billions of sandwiches, opened thousands of outlets around the world, and become one of the most famous and recognisable global brands on the planet.

Synonymous with capitalism and globalisation in all latitudes, McDonald's was born from the initiative of Ray Kroc, who in the 1950s realised the enormous potential of a restaurant in San Bernardino, California, run by the McDonald brothers.

There are many curiosities about this fast food restaurant. Did you know that only one restaurant in the world has the blue symbol? And that there is a ranking of the most beautiful in the world? After all, we know, McDonald's is much more than a hamburger seller.

Unique design and furnishings according to location
This is not your typical log cabin. The spacious and cosy McDonald's restaurant in Wisconsin has a warm and welcoming ambience and unique decorations, such as a bear carved out of wood and a mounted moose head. In many cases, McDonald's premises are not the usual prefabricated buildings, but absolutely unique and enjoyable architecture.

Located in the former Cafe Imperial building in Porto, Portugal, this McDonald's is commonly described as the most beautiful McDonald's in the world because of its stained glass windows, crystal chandeliers, intricate carvings along the walls and ceilings, and arched entrance. It is also considered the most beautiful in the world according to a ranking compiled by 'Architectural Digest'.
