1933, Double Eagle (1933 Double Eagle)
Sold in June 2021 at Sotheby's for almost $19,000,000, this rare coin is one of the most valuable ever sold. According to the United States Mint (United States Mint), "This is the only 1933 Double Eagle monetised and issued by the United States Mint. It is also the only example that the United States government has ever authorised, or ever intended to authorise, for private ownership. Any additional examples that may exist are likewise the property of the United States government, the possession of which is illegal and subject to seizure. This coin was originally owned by King Farouk of Egypt.

1794, "flowing hair" dollar (1794 Flowing Hair dollar)
Issued in the United States of America, this rare coin was sold by a private seller for $12,000,000 in January 2013. It was the first one-dollar coin issued by the US federal government in 1794. This coin was originally owned by Carter Neil.

1787, Brasher doubloon - EB on the wing (1787 Brasher Doubloon - EB on Wing)
This doubloon was sold by Heritage Auctions in January 2021 for $9,360,000. The previous owners were Stickney, Ellsworth, Garrett, Partrick. The Brasher doubloon is a rare American eight-shield doubloon worth sixteen dollars, privately minted in and after 1787.

1822, Half Eagle (1822 Half Eagle)
This coin worth $8,400,000 was sold by Stacks Bowers in March 2021. Provenance: Virgil Brand, Horace and Armin Brand, Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. and Jr., D. Brent Pogue. The half eagle was the first gold coin minted by the United States (1822), and has been produced for circulation from 1795 to 1929 and in commemorative coins and bullion since 1983. Composed almost entirely of gold, its face value of five dollars is half that of the eagle coin.

The Draped Bust dollar is a one-dollar coin of the United States minted from 1795 to 1803, and was reproduced, dated 1804, in the 1850s. An 1804 coin was sold in August 2021 by Stacks Bowers for $7,680,000. Previous owners: Sultan of Muscat, Charles A. Watters, Virgil M. Brand, Childs, Pogue.
