Size in acres: 24,246. The Franklin Mountains State Park is a protected area located in the city of El Paso, Texas, USA. The park covers an area of more than 24,000 acres and includes the largest mountain range within a U.S. city. The park offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking and horseback riding, as well as wildlife spotting. The park is famous for its panoramic city views, rock formations and well-marked trails. The park is also an important conservation site for many animal and plant species endemic to the Chihuahuandesert.

8) Losiny Ostrov National Park, Russia
Size in acres: 28,664. The Losiny Ostrov National Park is a protected area located in the Moscow region of Russia. The park covers an area of about 115 km² and includes a wide range of ecosystems, including coniferous forests, swamps, rivers and lakes. It is also an important conservation site for many animal and plant species, including the wolf, Siberian deer, brown bear and otter. The park is famous for its long nature walks, canoe trips, bird watching and wildlife spotting. The park is also famous for being one of the few places in the world where you can see the Eurasian otter.

The park covers over 30,000 acres of desert and offers a wide range of outdoor activities, including hiking, biking and horseback riding, as well as wildlife spotting. The park is also an important conservation site for many animal and plant species endemic to the Sonorandesert. The park is famous for its picturesque rock formations, panoramic views and well-marked trails.

6) Pedra Branca State Park, Brazil
Size in acres: 30,626. The Pedra Branca State Park is a state park in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It is one of the largest urban nature parks in the world. It protects an area of the Atlantic Forest west of the city of Rio de Janeiro that includes the highest point of the city, the Pico da Pedra Branca. Among its attractions, the park contains the chapel of São Gonçalo do Amarante, built in 1625, and the church of Nossa Senhora de Monserrat, built in 1776. The park offers a wide range of natural landscapes, including rainforests, caves, waterfalls, and rivers.  It is also an important conservation site for many endemic animal and plant species. Its peculiarity is the presence of a large rock called Pedra Branca, which is located inside the park and attracts many tourists.

Size in acres: 39,536.Izmaylovsky Park or Izmaylovo Park is one of the largest parks in Moscow, Russia.  The park consists of two areas: the Izmaylovsky forest and the Izmaylovskypark. It is located in the district of Izmaylovo, in the northeast of the city. It is known for its picturesque landscapes, including numerous lakes, gardens, and hiking trails. The park also has a variety of recreational facilities, such as playgrounds, sports courts, and picnic areas. In addition, there is a large amusement park within the park, which offers a variety of rides and attractions for visitors of all ages.

4) Margalla Hills National Park, Pakistan
Size in acres: 42,962. The Margalla Hills National Park is a national park of Pakistan located in the territory of the capital of Islamabad. The park includes the Margalla Hills, which form the slopes of theHimalaya, along with the Shakarparian Park and Rawal Lake. Established in 1980, it is the third largest national park in the Pakistan with an area of 174 hectares. The park is rich in biodiversity, particularly rich in Sino-Himalayan fauna: it is home to about 600 species of plants, 402 varieties of birds, 38 mammals and 27 species of reptiles.

3) Table Mountain National Park, South Africa
Size in acres: 54,610.Table Mountain National Park is a protected natural area established in 1998 located in Cape Town, South Africa.  The area preserves a remarkable biodiversity in relation to the endemic flora, called fynbos, and for the class of insects. The Table Mountain National Park, with 1,372,000 visitors is one of the most visited parks in South Africa.
