Europe is probably experiencing one of the warmest winters in living memory. Anomalous temperatures were recorded, between late 2022 and early 2023, in Germany, Denmark and also Poland.
In Poland, in particular, temperatures reached 19 degrees in Warsaw and 17 in Wrocław. A situation so out of the ordinary as to cause even the cherry blossoms, as evidenced by the photos also published byANSA, the Italian National Press Agency. In the Jasne Blonia garden of Szczecin, in the northwest of the country, the cherry trees are already in bloom.
The flowering of these trees, obviously occurred out of season, was caused by the particularly mild temperatures of this period. An effect of climate change, which is bringing anomalous heat to Europe and equally anomalous polar cold to the northeast of the United States.
The anomalous heat that is going through Europe and that has negative effects on nature
Europe is probably experiencing one of the warmest winters in living memory. Anomalous temperatures were recorded, between late 2022 and early 2023, in Germany, Denmark and also Poland. In the latter country, even a premature cherry blossom has been documented.

If you think that in December, in general, in Warsaw there are on average maximum temperatures around zero, you understand well what the anomaly of this December 2022 just ended and of this beginning of January 2023 just arrived. On the first day of 2023 in Warsaw the average recorded temperature was 19 degrees.
The cherry blossom in northwestern Poland, obviously occurred out of season, was caused by the particularly mild temperatures of this period. An effect of climate change, which is bringing anomalous heat to Europe and equally anomalous polar cold to the northeast of the United States.
As reported by Getty, which published some images, on the first day of 2023, in Warsaw, the temperature returned a climate very similar to that of North Africa. A situation that is anything but normal, which generates perplexity and concern.
